Market touches record high during morning trading, Sensex jumps to 79,457
The trading session commenced on a positive note with benchmark equity indices touching new highs on Friday.

As per early morning market figures during the opening trade, the BSE Sensex jumped 214.40 points, or 0.27 per cent, to 79,457.58.
The NSE Nifty 50 opened 41.40 points, or 0.17 per cent, up during early trade.
On Thursday, the BSE Sensex advanced 568.93 pts, breaching 79K level for the first time at 79243.18 at new peak on the strength of IT, Power, Telecommunications and Commodities stocks despite weak global cues.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) jumped 175.70 pts to 24,044.50.
