Ritesh Agarwal, the 29-year-old founder of OYO, got married to Geetansha Sood at the Taj Palace in Delhi.

The wedding was followed by a reception at a five-star hotel, which was attended by several business leaders and politicians who congratulated the couple.

Paytm's Vijay Shekhar Sharma also expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards Masayoshi Son, the billionaire investor.

Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, who attended the occasion, shared his photos with Ritesh Agarwal and his bride along with his best wishes.

Agarwal had extended an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his wedding. Recently, on his Instagram account, the OYO CEO posted pictures of himself, his mother, and his fiancée at the Prime Minister's residence. In the photographs, the couple was seen touching Modi's feet and Agarwal placing a shawl around the Prime Minister's shoulders.

"With the blessings of Pradhan Mantri Narendra Modiji, we are all set for a new beginning," he wrote. "Words cannot express the warmth with which he received us."

Agarwal was born in Odisha to a Marwari family. In 2011, he relocated to Delhi to pursue higher education. However, after completing two years of college, he decided to discontinue his studies and was selected for the Thiel Fellowship program. As a recipient of this program, he was awarded a sum of $100,000, which he utilized to launch OYO in May 2013.
