70 hospitalised after consuming food at religious event in Maharashtra's Kolhapur
Kolhapur/IBNS/UNI: At least 70 devotees were hospitalised with complaints of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea after consuming a suspected contaminated meal at a 'Harinam Saptah' function at Parite village in Maharashtra's Kolhapur on Wednesday.

At the end of the 'Harinam Saptah' function, organizers distributed meals to about 150 devotees.
After consuming the meal, 70 devotees suffered from vomiting, diarrhea, and fever.
They were immediately admitted to two different hospitals, including the Ispurli sub-district hospital and the district civil hospital, for medical treatment.
Their conditions are reportedly improving, a press release issued by the district Health department said here.
