Shubhanshu Shukla enters iconic cupola inside ISS
Indian Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, who made history by reaching the International Space Station (ISS), was clicked in the iconic cupola, a moment the countrymen will cherish forever.

The cupola module offers a stunning panoramic video of Earth from space.
Shukla reached the ISS on June 26.
Sharing the images, MyGovIndia X page wrote: "Group Capt Shubhanshu Shukla enjoys the stunning panoramic view of Earth from the 7-windowed Cupola Module aboard the International Space Station. It’s been a remarkable journey as he marks a week in orbit, representing India among the stars."
Earlier, during his interaction with Indian PM Narendra Modi from ISS, Shukla said he had carried traditional Indian dishes like gajar ka halwa and aamras to space and shared them with fellow astronauts.
“I brought food items like gajar ka halwa and aamras along with me to space and have given them as a treat to my fellow astronauts,” Shukla said from the ISS, responding to the Prime Minister’s questions.

Shukla, who is part of the Axiom-4 mission and serves as its pilot, also shared his impression of seeing India from orbit. “India looks grand and bigger from space than it does on the map,” he said.
US astronaut Peggy Whitson leads the Axiom-4 mission as commander and includes mission specialists Sawosz Uznanski from Poland and Tibor Kapu from Hungary.
