The footage shows several vehicles halting on the highway to allow the tornado to pass. After the tornado moves across the highway, the commuters resume driving.
The video shows a trailer truck crashing in the middle of the highway due to the tornado's impact.
The men with the camera are seen halting their vehicles immediately and rushing to check if anyone in the trailer truck was harmed. Luckily, the driver escaped injury.
In Lincoln, a tornado also hit an industrial shed, where approximately 70 people were present when the roof collapsed.
They were evacuated, and authorities from Lancaster County reported that three individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), over 70 tornadoes were reported across the US, with the majority occurring around Omaha, a key transportation hub in Nebraska.
As a result of the tornado activity, approximately 11,000 households in Nebraska lost power.
Tornadoes are an unpredictable weather phenomenon and are relatively common in the US, particularly in the central and southern regions of the country.
