The inauguration was attended by several dignitaries from the corporate and academic sectors, including Radhika Gupta, MD & CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund; Ratan Kumar Kesh, Executive Director of Bandhan Bank; and Meghdut Roy Chowdhury, Executive Director & CIO of Techno India Group.
Radhika Gupta, MD & CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund said, "Kolkata's office is lovely to see that they're doing a great job at the domain of the intersection of what corporate India needs, what the financial sector needs and training students. I wish them all the best."
The Kolkata campus adds to FinX's efforts to make practical, industry-oriented learning in the BFSI sector more accessible.
Its learning ecosystem brings education, skilling and employability together through career-focused certifications, national competitions and institutional partnerships covering wealth management, mutual funds and financial markets.
Himanshu Vyapak, MD & CEO of FinX, added, “The launch of our Kolkata campus marks another step in our effort to make industry-relevant BFSI education more accessible to students and young professionals. Through our campus-led learning initiatives, we aim to strengthen the connection between academia and industry, while helping learners build the knowledge and skills required to navigate opportunities across the BFSI ecosystem."
FinX's approach also focuses on connecting academic institutions with industry to make learning more relevant to the requirements of the financial-services ecosystem.
The platform emphasises financial literacy and awareness through programmes such as the Franklin Templeton National Mutual Fund Olympiad, which aims to help students develop a practical understanding of financial markets, investment and personal finance.
