India gets Amazon’s second-largest office in Asia – A game-changer for Bengaluru’s tech scene
Spanning 1.1 million square feet, Amazon’s second-largest single-building corporate campus globally sets new benchmarks for collaboration, sustainability, and innovation in India’s technology capital.
Amazon’s new North Bengaluru campus represents a transformative approach to workplace design. As the company’s second-largest office in Asia, the 12-floor campus sits on a five-acre site approximately 15 kilometres from Kempegowda International Airport and can accommodate over 7,000 employees. It establishes new standards for corporate infrastructure and employee experience in Bengaluru.
On February 23, 2026, the campus was officially inaugurated in a ceremony highlighting Amazon’s long-term commitment to Karnataka and India. Dr. M.B. Patil, Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, Government of Karnataka, graced the occasion as chief guest, joining Amazon leadership to mark this milestone. The event included a curated campus walkthrough for dignitaries and media, celebrating Amazon’s investment in Bengaluru’s talent ecosystem and its role as a global innovation hub.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Patil said, “Amazon’s continued investment in Bengaluru reflects India’s growing role as a global technology and innovation hub. Large-scale campuses like this create high-quality jobs, strengthen the local ecosystem, and support India’s digital economy. We welcome investments that build long-term capability and create opportunities for our workforce.”
Samir Kumar, Country Manager, Amazon India, added, “India continues to be a long-term priority for Amazon, and Bengaluru has played a central role in our journey here. Over the years, the city has been home to some of our earliest technology and business teams, and today it remains a key hub for innovation and talent.”
He further stated, “We are grateful to Dr. M.B. Patil for joining us to inaugurate this campus and for the Government of Karnataka’s continued support. As we build for customers in India and around the world, we remain committed to investing in infrastructure, technology, and talent for the long term.”
Located on a five-acre site, the campus is designed to foster collaboration, flexibility, learning, and employee wellbeing at scale. Its design philosophy integrates technology, e-commerce, operations, payments, seller services, and leadership functions into shared workspaces, enabling faster decision-making and stronger team connections.
Strategic Location and Connectivity
Situated approximately 15 kilometres from Kempegowda International Airport, the campus brings diverse teams together under one roof, promoting seamless collaboration and innovation across functions.
