According to complaints, toddlers were subjected to inhuman punishment methods, including being forced to sit inside the drum of a front-loading washing machine, having water sprayed into their mouths using a toilet jet spray, and being locked inside bathrooms when they cried.

Case filed against five caregivers

Police have registered a case against five women caregivers employed at the daycare facility following the allegations.

An official described the reported incidents as deeply disturbing, stating that the children were allegedly subjected to such treatment as a means of silencing them when they became restless or upset.

Videos trigger outrage and official probe

Videos purportedly showing instances of the alleged abuse have circulated widely on social media, sparking public outrage and prompting swift action from authorities.

Apart from the police complaint, a separate petition has also been filed before the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

The same is expected to examine lapses in childcare safety standards and monitoring mechanisms.

Parents demand accountability and stricter safety checks

The incident has left parents shaken, many of whom had enrolled their children at the daycare while working at the IT campus.

The allegations have also raised broader concerns about the oversight of childcare facilities operating within corporate campuses, with demands for stricter regulation, better screening of caregivers, and improved safety protocols for young children in institutional daycare settings.
