Dipke described the police action as a reflection of “dictatorship” and called it unprecedented.

‘This is a dictatorship’: Dipke

In a video message, Dipke said, “You can see where the nation is heading. They are here to arrest us directly from the flight. This is something not even Indira Gandhi had done. This is a dictatorship where Delhi Police has entered the flight and is trying to arrest us.”

“Please arrest us, we are ready for it. We are not afraid of you,” he said, daring the police to take action.

The CJP leaders were heard raising slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Inquilab Zindabad” amid the confrontation.

CJP co-conveners also detained

Along with Dipke, CJP co-conveners Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were also detained by police from the flight, the group said.

The leaders were travelling to Delhi to participate in protests against CEC Gyanesh Kumar.

Dhruv Rathee detained

Meanwhile, YouTuber Dhruv Rathee was detained by Gurugram Police on Saturday ahead of his participation in the CJP protests against Gyanesh Kumar.

Earlier this week, Rathee had joined the CJP protests at Freedom Park in Bengaluru.

Delhi on high alert ahead of protests

The national capital has been placed under heightened security ahead of the CJP demonstrations, with central forces deployed and barricades erected across the city.

Internet services were also reportedly suspended amid the security measures.

The protests are being held over alleged irregularities in voter rolls.
