Even well-dressed Muslim doctors can now be extreme terrorists! Taslima Nasrin after Red Fort blast exposes 'white-collar terror module'
New Delhi/IBNS: "Muslim terrorists harm Muslims the most," said exiled Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasrin underlining that even educated individuals from the community have turned "extreme terrorists" in a scathing remark after several doctors were arrested in connection with the Red Fort blast.
In her Facebook post, Taslima said, "Muslim terrorists harm Muslims the most. In the civilized countries of the world, people nowadays become suspicious the moment they see a Muslim—thinking, ‘Maybe he’s a terrorist,’ or, ‘Maybe he’s a suicide bomber!’
"The days are gone when only some uneducated, hardline Muslims living in slums were thought to be terrorists. Now, even well-dressed doctors with the highest degrees in science have shown that they, too, can be extreme terrorists."
"Studying science does not make them humane, because alongside science, they also study Islam. Science teaches them to save lives; Islam tells them to take lives.
"Science promises comfort and luxury in this world, but Islam promises comfort and luxury in the afterlife. This world is temporary, but the afterlife is eternal — and so, the attraction toward the afterlife is greater," the writer, who is known for her writing on women's oppression and criticism of Islam, added.
A massive explosion near Delhi’s iconic Red Fort on Monday evening left at least nine people dead and over twenty injured, after a Hyundai i20 car carrying three passengers suddenly exploded near Gate No. 1 of Lal Qila Metro Station, close to the Gauri Shankar and Jain temples.
The blast occurred around 6:52 pm, shaking the high-security area and sending panic across Old Delhi.
In a 'white-collar' terror module, Dr. Umar Mohammad was allegedly driving the car which had blasted killing at least nine people and injuring several others.
Dr. Umar had close links with two other doctors- Dr. Muzammil Ahmad Ganai and Dr. Adeel Rather- who were part of the module.
Dr. Umar met the other two at Al-Falah Medical College which is located in Faridabad.
Dr. Umar had reportedly caused a blast out of panic as his partners were among the seven who were already arrested with explosives.
Soon after the explosion, the car’s registered owner, identified as Salman, was detained by Delhi Police.
During interrogation, he revealed that he had already sold the vehicle to another person.
Further investigation uncovered that the car had reportedly been sold to Tariq, a resident of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, raising suspicions of a possible terror link.
'We have no role': Al Falah University V-C speaks out
Al Falah University Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Bhupinder Kaur Anand on Wednesday said the educational institution has no link apart from professional ties with the arrested doctors.
Kaur said as quoted by Hindustan Times, "We are anguished by the unfortunate developments that took place and condemn the same... We have also learnt that two of our doctors have been detained by the Investigating Agencies.
"The University has no connection with the said persons apart from them working in their official capacities with the University."
In response to the allegations against the doctors arrested with huge amounts of chemicals like ammonium nitrate and weapons, Kaur said, "We strongly condemn and categorically deny all such false and defamatory allegations. No such chemical or material, as alleged by certain platforms, is being used, stored, or handled within the University premises.
"The University laboratories are used solely and exclusively for the academic and training requirements of MBBS students and other authorised courses."
The university said it is extending all forms of support to the security agencies in probing the Delhi blast that killed at least nine people and injured several others near Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening.
