Former JDS MP Prajwal Revanna convicted in rape case
Bengaluru/IBNS: Former Janata Dal Secular MP Prajwal Revanna has been convicted in a rape case by a special court, media reports said.

The rape case was filed by a domestic worker from KR Nagar in Mysuru, Karnataka.
In a speedy trial, the verdict was delivered within 14 months since the case was registered.
The quantum of punishment will be announced by the court on Saturday.
Prajwal, who is the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, broke down in tears in the court after the judgement was passed.
The survivor reportedly submitted a saree in the court as evidence.
The forensic analysis had confirmed the presence of sperm on the saree, which the complainant had preserved.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of CID had submitted a chargesheet of 2,000 pages against Revanna.
The trial had begun on December 31, 2024.
In April 2024, Revanna's explicit videos showing alleged sexual assaults, reportedly involving Prajwal Revanna surfaced online.
He had fled to Germany and a lookout notice was issued.
The Hassan MP from Karnataka was arrested upon returning to India in May 2024.
