The village was established by illegal immigrants from Myanmar.
Necessary formalities were taken up and all the residents who were from Myanmar were detained.

Myanmar citizens arrested in Manipur
Imphal: Manipur Police personnel and Tengnoupal district officials found a newly established village , New Salbung just next to H. Lhangcham village, Moreh Sub-division in the Manipur Myanmar border area on Thursday.
