Old Sansad was better, let's go back: INDIA bloc's dig at Modi govt after water leaks in new Parliament building
New Delhi/IBNS: The opposition bloc INDIA seized yet another opportunity to take a dig at the Modi government after water leakage was reported from the new Parliament building amid heavy rains in the Delhi-NCR.
In a video posted by Congress leader Manickam Tagore, water is seen leaking inside the Parliament building and a bucket was place on the floor.
The video is not verified by IBNS independently.
Tagore wrote on X, "Paper leakage outside, water leakage inside. The recent water leakage in the Parliament lobby used by the President highlights urgent weather resilience issues in the new building, just a year after completion.
"Moving Adjournment motion on this issue in Loksabha."

Tagore has also moved an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha to "form a specialized committee, comprising all party MPs, to inspect the Parliament building thoroughly following water leaks inside the Parliament lobby yesterday due to heavy rains."

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav wrote on X, "The old parliament was better than this new parliament, where even the old MPs could come and meet. Why not go back to the old parliament, at least till the time the water dripping program is going on in the parliament built with billions of rupees.

Delhi Education Minister Atishi Marlena on Wednesday announced all schools- government or private- will remain shut in the national capital on August 1.
