Moitra was caught using an "offensive" word in the middle of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP K Ram Mohan Naidu's speech in the Lok Sabha.

Moitra had reportedly used the word for BJP MP Ramesh Bhiduri.

Demanding an apology, Union Parliamentary Minister Pralhad Joshi said he would talk to Trinamool floor leader (Sudip Bandyopadhyay) on the issue.

"I would ask them to apologise but if she doesn't, then it's their culture," Joshi said in the Lok Sabha.

Moitra, who was addressing the Lok Sabha on the Adani issue, was caught in verbal exchanges with BJP MPs multiple times during her customary loud speech.
