Not only did the Indian Embassy official snatch the tricolour from the hands of the Khalistani protester, hanging from the first-floor window of the building, but also threw away the yellow Khalistan banner in the man’s hand.

In the videos circulating social media, the official at the Indian High Commission in London was seen rescuing the Tricolour from a Khalistani supporter and throwing out the Khalistani flag.

Several people lauded the official for taking on the Khalistan sympathisers and questioned the law-and-order situation in UK’s capital London.

Reacting to the video, activist Tehseen Poonawalla called the official “brave” and condemned the “terror attack” on the High Commission in London.

He tweeted, “This brave Indian High Commission official deserves all the accolades for bravely taking on the Khalistani elements who tried to take down our Indian flag. Heartbreaking to see the terror attack on our High Commission in London. It needs to be taken up at the highest level!”

A post from another account read: “#BritishIndians praise the brave staff of the Indian High Commission, London  @HCI_London; despite being outnumbered by mob, they maintained the respect of the Indian Flag 🇮🇳 and waved proudly in the sky. Jai Hind”

“As an Indian in the UK, I stand with solidarity with our High Commission of India @HCI_London. and Indians in the United Kingdom. I’m concerned by the vandalism taken place. I salute our brave diplomats and staff of HCI for protecting our Indian Flag. Our India House gives back at vandals with a bigger flag in London,” tweeted another user.

In a swift and strong response to the Khalistani supporters, the Indian High Commission in London installed a huge Tricolour on the front face of the India House building.
