BREAKING: Scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir valid, rules Supreme Court
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday upheld the Modi government's historic decision on Aug 6, 2019 to scrap special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Constitution. A five-member bench of the Supreme Court led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud gave the verdict holding that Article 37 was a temporary provision to facilitate the merger of Jammu and Kashmir's with India in 1947.
