The film, which adapts James Graham’s Tony Award-winning play of the same name, will hit select US theatres on December 11 and begin streaming on Netflix from January 8 in the US and Latin America.

Confirming the release, Netflix wrote on X: "INK, from Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle, is coming to select theaters December 11 and on Netflix January 8 in the US and Latin America. Starring Jack O’Connell, Guy Pearce, and Claire Foy."

Netflix also unveiled the film’s first look, featuring Oscar nominee Guy Pearce as media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

‘Ink’ will have its world premiere as the opening-night selection at the Venice Film Festival, where it will compete for the prestigious Golden Lion.

The newspaper drama is also set to be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The film explores the world of British tabloid journalism and Murdoch’s rise through the media industry, drawing on Graham’s acclaimed stage play.
