Srijit Mukherji's 'dream project' Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichhu Nei gets its trailer released
Kolkata/IBNS: The trailer of National Award winning filmmaker Srijit Mukherji's upcoming flick Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichhu Nei was unveiled on Monday.
The trailer was launched at a grand event with most of the cast members at Town Hall in the city's downtown.
"It was my dream project. In 2011, I narrated it to late Rituparno Ghosh, who had maintained that this is one of my finest scripts," Srijit said.
"The film has touched upon the contemporary socio-economic, political and religious issues which are going on in our country," said the filmmaker.
The film is based on the film Ek Ruka Hua Faisla, which was directed by Basu Chatterjee.
Srijit directed a stellar ensemble cast comprising Kaushik Ganguly, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Phalguni Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Anirban Chakrabarti, Rahul Banerjee, Ananya Chatterjee, Sauraseni Maitra, Kanchan Mullick, Ritwick Chakraborty, Arjun Chakrabarty and Suhotra Mukhopadhyay.
The actors represent a kaleidoscope of societal dynamics, portraying characters that span diverse socio-economic strata, political ideologies, and sexual orientations.
The music is arranged by Amit Chatterjee and a riveting background score by Subhadeep Guha.
Additionally, the film features Noor Islam and Kaushik Kar.
Produced by SVF, Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichhu Nei is slated for a release on January 23, 2025.
