In her address, Alia praised Samantha lauding her achievements as well as requested director Trivikram Srinivas to cast the two in a film.
"My dearest Samantha, rightfully so, you are a hero on and off screen. I have no much admiration for your talent, resilience, strength. It's not easy to be a woman in a man's world. But you have surpassed gender. You stand tall on your two feet," Alia said.
"They (people) say usually actresses compete with each other but there is no such thing. I am grateful to have a pan-India superstar here to support my film and say such kind words for my film," she added.
