Hosts India finished with a silver and a bronze in the team events, with the Seniors team claiming silver and the Men's "A" team securing bronze.

India also bagged two silver medals in the Pairs events. Savleen Thadani and Sadhana Gupta finished runners-up in the Women's category with 519.11 points, while Subir Majumder and Sujit Kumar Bhattacharjee secured silver in the Seniors category with 303.60 points.

China, which had looked poised for a dominant finish after reaching the semifinals in multiple events, concluded the championship with one gold and two silver medals.

India's Seniors "B" team, comprising Hemant Jalan, Sukamal Das, Rajesh Dalal, Jitendra Solani, Anil Padhye and Raju Tolani, entered the final against Australia carrying over a 5.50 International Match Points (IMPs) advantage. However, they managed only eight IMPs in the opening session against Australia's 33.

The second session was closely contested, with Australia maintaining a slender three-IMP edge (31-28). India staged a spirited comeback in the final session, scoring 31 IMPs against Australia's 16, but it was not enough as Australia secured the title with an overall score of 80-72.5 IMPs. Japan claimed the bronze medal after defeating Bangladesh 153-86 IMPs.

In the Men's bronze medal playoff, India "A", represented by Subhash Gupta, Sandeep Thakral, Sumit Mukherjee, Rajeshwar Tewari, Sagnik Roy and Kaustabh Nandi, defeated Bangladesh "B" 133-99.33 IMPs after leading in all three sessions.

Bangladesh fought well in the opening session before narrowly losing 38-37, but India dominated the remaining sessions 40-29 and 55-25 to seal third place.

Hong Kong China "A" retained the Men's title with a hard-fought 105.67-99 IMP victory over China.

In the Women's bronze medal playoff, India "A" could not emulate the men's success, losing to Japan 112.67-80 IMPs after trailing in all three sessions.
