KKR appoint Rinku Singh as vice-captain ahead of IPL 2026
Kolkata/IBNS: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have appointed power-hitter Rinku Singh as the vice-captain ahead of the 2026 IPL season.
The decision was announced at the Knights Unplugged 3.0 event in Kolkata on Tuesday evening.
Announcing the appointment, KKR CEO Venky Mysore said, “On behalf of everyone in the franchise, we’re really delighted to announce that Rinku Singh will be the Vice-captain of the team. Rinku joined KKR in 2018, and has been a regular in the team ever since."

Rinku has been a key performer for KKR, known for his explosive batting and sharp fielding.
The 28-year-old also brings leadership experience from domestic cricket and previous IPL stints.
KKR will begin their campaign this season against Mumbai Indians on March 29.
