Muhammed Anas, Amoj Jacob, Muhammed Ajmal, and Rajesh Ramesh, achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new Asian record time of 2:59.05.

They secured the second position, following the favourites USA, who completed the race in 2:58.47. Great Britain secured the third automatic qualifying spot with a timing of 2:59.42.

This achievement not only earned India a spot in the final but also saw them break the previous Asian record of 2:59.51 held by Japan.

The performance of the Indian men's relay team also surpassed India's earlier national record of 3:00.25, set in 2021.

The men's final will be one of the last events of the Championship, with the women's final taking place afterward.

Before that, Indians across the world will watch with bated breath the men's javelin event, where Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra, DP Manu, and Kishore Kumar Jena set to showcase their skills (scheduled for approximately 11.45 PM IST).
