National youth peace camp to be held at Agartala from Dec 16 to 18
With the active initiative of Yuvsatta( Youth for Peace), an International level youth organization based in Chandigarh in collaboration with National Foundation for Communal Harmony of union government , Global Peace Foundation( USA) and Youth For Integration trust (YFI) are jointly organizing a massive peace camp at Agartala from December 16-18.
Bibhuti Debbarma of Youth for Integration trust through a press statement said that about one hundred youths from eight Northeastern states are scheduled to join this camp. In this noble mission organizations like Yuvsatta ( Youth for Peace) and other reputed organizations of the country joined hands to display and re-consolidate the power of the youth force.
He said that three days' programmes, spread over multiple classroom sessions this peace camp will have in-depth discussions over issues like Sustainable Development Goals, stories from the field, Sustainable Goals set by the UN, peace march, candle light expression of integrity, field visit , art competition among the students and interaction with villagers etc.
Inauguration of the peace camp and classroom sessions will be held at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel, while field visit will be taken in Khamtingbari village in Baramura Hills. Besides, in-house cultural programmes and participatory sessions have been planned by the organizers, said Debbarma.
This kind peace camp is a routine programme organised every year under the aegis of said organisers. These types of camps offer the young generation of the country an opportunity to display and groom their hidden talents as well cements the mutual bonding between human beings, informed the President of Youth for integration Bibhuti Debbarma. Promod Sharma, General Secretary, Yuvsatta will be reaching Agartala to conduct this programme on December14 next, said Debbarma.
