Based on the secret information, the Government Railway Police (GRP) on Tuesday morning recovered huge quantities of banned cough syrup Phensedyl from a coach of the Kanchanjunga Express, which had arrived from Kolkata.

The officer-in-charge (OC) of GRP police station of Agartala, Sanjit Sen said that during search at the parcel van of the Kanchanjunga Express, they recovered five big cartoons, where a total of 1595 bottles of contraband cough syrup recovered and has also arrested the authorized man of these parcels identified as Prasenjit Debnath under NDPS act.
