A notorious motorbike lifter arrested, two stolen bikes recovered

A notorious motorbike lifter was arrested by East Agartala police station and has recovered two stolen motorbikes under his possession on Saturday.
Giving details, SDPO(Sadar) Debaprasad Roy said that one motorcycle was stolen by an unknown thief from the house of one Anirban Das of MBB Club area of Agartala on February 12 night.
Police after receiving the complaint, initiated an investigation and within two days, they managed to arrest an infamous anti-social, Suman Das (24) of Maheshkhala area involved with many bike lifting cases, said Roy and added that during interrogation, arrested Suman Das confessed that he lifted the motorbike from MBB Club area. Based on his confession statement, police recovered the stolen bike from a jungle near Agartala Bypass road and has also recovered another stolen bike from the spot.
SDPO said that among recovered two stolen bikes, one belongs to Anirban Das and the ownership of another bike is yet to be established.
He said that arrested lifter, who was involved with many anti-social and bike lifting cases has been forwarded before a local court with police remand appeal for interrogation to get details of his lifting network.
