Accused in kicking incident, TSR ward boy suspended

A TSR ward boy Suman Das, accused in the kicking incident, has been suspended by the Commandant of 3rd battalion TSR on Thursday after his viral video aired in different social media pages and channels.
Suman, who serves as a ward boy in the 3rd Battalion of TSR, was on duty in the Laxmibinarayan Bari Road area of Agartala city when he kicked a young man to the ground. The incident was captured on a mobile phone camera and later broadcast by various news outlets. It also went viral on social media.
Following this, Commandant of the 3rd Battalion, Binay Kishore Debbarma, suspended Suman Das on the instructions of his higher authorities. The Commandant has also ordered a departmental inquiry against him. The order issued by the 3rd battalion commandant said that Suman Das shell remain in force headquarters at 3rd battalion in Kachucherra and shall not leave the headquarters without obtaining permission from the commandant.
Many are saying that the state government has once again set an example by taking immediate and strict action in response to the incident.
