ADG-BSF visits Kamalasagar, Nischintapur border areas, met CS, DGP
Ravi Gandhi, ADG, BSF (Eastern Command) on a three days visit of Tripura visited Sector headquarters of BSF Gokulnagar, Kamalasagar and Nischintapur border areas along with Patel Piyush Purusottam Das, IG of Tripura Frontier and other officers.
During the visit he was briefed by V K Kasana, DIG-Gokulnagar regarding ops preparedness. Interacting with troops, the ADG lauded their efforts in curbing the trans-border crimes and briefed the troops about emerging threats to national security.
The ADG further had a courtesy meeting with Chief Secretary of Tripura, J K Sinha, and DGP, Amitabh Ranjan and discussed issues pertaining to border security and prevailing situations in neighbouring country.
While, on Wednesday as part of the ongoing celebrations ahead of Border Security Force (BSF) Raising day , border visit of students was organized.
Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Bagafa (Santirbazar) and Dhamma Dipa International Buddhist University visited Maitree bridge and Border Outpost (BOP) Sabroom and also witnessed the weapons display and dog show at BOP Sabroom.
The event concluded with the group photographs with children as a token of remembrance. Teachers and the students appreciated the initiative of BSF.
This event was aimed to foster awareness about the role played by the BSF in safeguarding the nation and to instill a sense of patriotism among the younger generation.
