Aggrieved consumers stormed TSECL call centre
Finally, the aggrieved consumers of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) stormed the call centre -1912 office at Bhuturia area of Banamalipur under East Agartala police station after hundreds of people are suffering from frequent power failure, low voltage etc.
Sources said that hundreds of people who repeatedly failed to connect to the customer-care centre of TSECL to register their power cuts and other power related problems in their locality had stormed the call centre on Friday night. Large number of people are shouting asking the authorities of the call centre ‘why they are getting their phone busy every time’?
While, police sources said that TSECL authorities had contacted the police emergency call service and requested them to send police personnel.
Till the last report, large numbers of aggrieved people were gathered in front of the call centre and police personnel had also rushed to the spot to ease the situation.
It may be recalled here that after scattered Monsoon rain in many parts of the state including in the capital city, frequent power cuts and low voltage has made life miserable and people after repeated calls are unable to register their complaints as phone lines of the call centre remained busy maximum time.
