AR apprehended one drug smuggler with Heroin
Assam Rifles Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (E) in a joint operation with Kamalpur police station apprehended one drug smuggler along with grade-I Heroin on Tuesday.
Based on credible information of drugs sale, a joint operation was launched by Radhanagar Battalion of Assam Rifles with police personnel from Kamalpur police station and apprehended one individual along with 23 grams of Grade -I Heroin worth approximately Rs. 9.2 Lakh from general area Erarpar Bazar, under kamalpur police station of Dhalai district.
The apprehended individual along with seized contents was handed over to Kamalpur police station for further investigation and legal proceedings. Assam Rifles have demonstrated its commitment towards drug free society.
