Assam Rifles, Customs seized huge quantities of Yaba tablets, worth Rs. 12.8 cr
Assam Rifles in a successful joint operation with the Customs Department seized 80,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 12.8 crore from Hezamara area of Mohanpur under West Tripura district on Saturday.
The joint operation also resulted in seizure of one Bolero car.
Assam Rifles sources said that based on credible information, an operation was launched by Assam Rifles in the general area Hezamara. The team successfully recovered 80,000 Yaba Tablets. Seized contents along with the vehicle were handed over to police Department for further investigation and legal proceedings.
The operation's success is in continuation of a series successful operations undertaken by Assam Rifles in Tripura, highlighting Assam Rifles' commitment to fight against illegal smuggling of contraband items and strengthen initiatives to make the society free from drugs.
