Assam Rifles organises awareness rally on World Suicide Prevention Day
On World Suicide Prevention Day, observed on September 10 every year, Assam Rifles organised an awareness rally in collaboration with Tripura Psychiatric Council in Agartala.
The event was aimed to send a message in society against the rising cases of suicides amongst people of all age groups and genders. The rally aimed at sending a message about breaking the stigmas around mental health challenges and encouraging open conversations about mental well-being thus preventing suicides. The theme of the rally was in consonance with the theme for World Suicide Prevention Day, "Changing the Narrative on Suicide" with the call to action "Start the Conversation".
Assam Rifles organised the rally wherein various agencies like Tripura Medical College, Indian Medical Association along with few NGOs also participated. The rally sought to address the crisis by fostering an environment of support, empathy, and understanding.
