Assam Rifles organises lecture on empathy for teachers, students of AR public school

Assam Rifles organised an informative lecture on the importance of developing empathy in teachers and young students through a workshop organised at Agartala Garrison on August 13. The workshop was conducted by Mrs Manjula Rana a retd Captain for the students and teachers of Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS) ARPS in Agartala.
The workshop encompassed various aspects of inculcating empathy in both teachers and students so as to enable them to become more compassionate in their behaviour towards others. The workshop was based on the book, "The Empathy Manual : A Resource Book for Teachers" written by Mrs Vibha Lakhera & Ms Usha Rai under Project Empathy.
A total of 162 students and 52 teachers attended the workshop and participated in various activities to bring home the concept of imbibing empathy in educational curriculum as well as make it part of one's personality. Principals and teachers from ARPS,Jwalamukhi, ARPS Maram & ARMS, Aizwal also joined the workshop through video conference.
The event received positive reception from both teachers and students.
