Assam Rifles organizes ‘Run for Fun’ to commemorate Vijay Diwas
Assam Rifles organized a ‘Run for Fun’ at Radhanagar on Tuesday to commemorate Vijay Diwas, marking India’s historic victory in the 1971 war. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Assam Rifles personnel, local residents and students, reflecting a shared spirit of patriotism, unity and respect for the nation’s brave warriors.
The run aimed to spread awareness among the youth and the local community about the significance of Vijay Diwas and to honour the courage, sacrifice and valour of the Indian Armed Forces.
Participants ran with great zeal, carrying the national flag and raising slogans celebrating national pride and unity.
The event concluded with an address highlighting the importance of remembering the sacrifices made for the nation’s freedom and sovereignty, followed by a collective pledge to uphold the values of unity, integrity and peace.
Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to nation-building and community engagement, true to its ethos of ‘Sentinels of the Northeast’.
