Assam Rifles organizes special tree plantation drive
In the build up to ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign a special tree plantation drive was held at Radhanagar, Tripura on Wednesday.
The event saw participation of Assam Rifles personnel, twenty children and eighteen mothers with the aim to promote tree plantation amongst young children and people of all age groups.
The plantation drive commenced with a short speech explaining the importance of Trees followed by plantation of trees.
It encourages individuals to plant trees as a tribute to their mothers, promoting both environmental conservation and honoring motherhood.
Through this initiative, the Assam Rifles sought to connect the nurturing role of mothers with the nurturing of nature by the earth, symbolizing care and growth.
The act of planting a tree in a mother's name served as a symbolic gesture of love and respect, connecting individuals with nature and their mother.
