BJP and CPI (M) clash in Noapara, Bishalgarh, 2 arrested

Two CPI (M) workers were arrested by police after a clash with BJP supporters at Noapara village under Bishalgarh police station on Friday midnight.

Police sources said that the clash might have occurred as a result of business transactions.

Sources said that, according to the complaint, two known CPI (M) workers Milad Hossain and Sumit Das had attacked the house of local BJP workers Saddam Hossain and had allegedly ransacked his house besides looting some cash.

The incident spread intense tension in the area. Milad Hossain and several CPIM workers suddenly attacked the house of a BJP worker named Saddam Hossain at his house.

Saddam Hossain alleged that the attack on his house was because he was working for the BJP party in the area. Saddam Hossain's house was vandalized and cash looted from the house. Locals including Jasim Uddin, a member of Noapara ward no. 5, quickly rushed to the spot and they managed to detain two attackers including Milad Hussain and Sumit Das. The police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused.

Police sources said that they have registered a case and forwarded two arrested persons before a local court of Bishalgarh for further legal proceedings on Saturday afternoon.
