Border Guards seizes contraband items and rescued 17 cattle heads
On the night intervening of Wednesday and Thursday, on specific information BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Rangoti under Irani police station of Unakoti district successfully seized foreign made Patron Cigarettes, Cosmetic items and other contrabands worth Rs 8.5 lakh.
In addition BSF troops of Tripura Frontier rescued 17 cattle heads from different locations of Tripura and foiled several attempts of trans-border smuggling.
BSF has intensified operation and domination on the border to thwart attempts of trans-border smuggling.
