Border Guards seizes huge quantities of contraband, rescues cattle heads
The Border Security Force (BSF) continues its relentless efforts to curb cross-border smuggling activities along the Indo-Bangladesh border in the Tripura state.
On May 20th, 2025 on specific information of BSF, a joint operation with Hrishyamukh police station was carried out by troops of Border Outpost (BOP) Nalua at Village Abhaynagar under South Tripura district and successfully seized clothing items worth Rs. 78 Lakh.
In another operation on May 20th, 2025 on specific information of BSF, a joint operation with Srinagar police station was carried out by troops of BOP Srinagar at village Srinagar under South Tripura district and successfully seized miscellaneous items worth approximately Rs. 19 lakh.
In an independent operation on 20th May 2025, vigilant BSF troops successfully rescued 31 cattle heads worth Rs. 7, 70,000 in Bhangamura area under Sabroom police station of South Tripura district.
