Border Guards with police destroyed Ganja plants from 4.5-acre land
Border Security Force (BSF) in a series of continuous operations on Sunday has also launched an operation against illegal Ganja cultivation.
BSF in a joint operation with CRPF, Narcotics Control Bureau, Tripura police and forest department destroyed approximately 18,000 immature Ganja (Cannabis) plants being cultivated illegally in the general area of Hataliya under PR Bari police station of South Tripura district. About 4.5 acres of land has been cleared by cutting, uprooting and burning of the plants.
This season till date total 5,47,900 plants have been destroyed in different parts of the state and many acres of forest land has been reclaimed.
BSF’s persistent and concerted efforts and endeavors in close coordination with sister agencies will certainly bring a change in the society.
