BSF-BGB meeting held at Maitri bridge, to ensure better coordination
A coordination meeting between Nodal officers of BSF and BGB was held on Saturday on Maitri bridge, Sabroom. The Indian delegation was led by Saroj Kumar Singh, Deputy Inspector General, Nodal officer BSF Tripura Frontier and BGB delegation was led by S M Shafiqur Rahman, Director, Nodal officer South East Region, Chattogram.
This meeting was organized to discuss the issues of concern mainly that of ensuring domination and security along the Indo- Bangladesh border particularly in the inhospitable terrain on the eastern border (on Bangladesh side). In the meeting modalities for better coordination and domination were discussed. Meetings at such platforms to address the issues to improve the cooperation, mutual trust and understating between the two border guarding forces will certainly go a long way.
