BSF jawan found dead at his duty post near Indo-Bangla border
A BSF jawan posted Agartala check post found dead at his duty post near Indo-Bangla border fencing on Friday.
Police sources said that a BSF jawan identified as Shukh Chandra Bora of Orissa state, posted at the 44th battalion of BSF and engaged in duty at Agartala check post at Akhaura border and on Friday morning he was given duty for guarding a border pillar at Shanmura area under West Agartala police station.
After an hour of duty, some of the BSF jawans posted at that area noticed that Shukh Chandra Bora was lying on the ground near a drain in unconscious mode. Immediately, they shifted him to IGM Hospital, where the visiting doctor declared him dead.
Later, police personnel from Ramnagar Town Outpost (TOP) reached IGM Hospital and shifted the body to GB Hospital morgue for autopsy to ascertain the cause of the death. While, police suspected deceased jawan may died of cardiac arrest, but the actual reason of the death would be ascertained after final report of post-mortem.
