BSF jawan shot mysteriously at Maharani, admitted to GB Hospital in critical condition
A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan identified as Moni Kundan , posted at Maharani area of Udaipur under Gomati district was shot under mysterious circumstances on Monday morning.
Official sources said that the jawan was initially rushed to Natunbazar Hospital following the incident and immediately, due to his severe injuries, he was referred to Gomati District Hospital and later shifted to GB Hospital in Agartala for advanced treatment.
Sources added that the bullet seems to have hit him in the left side of chest and his condition remains extremely critical, said a doctor at Gomati District Hospital who treated him before they referred him to GB Hospital.
Police and BSF authorities have yet to confirm the reason for bullet injuries to a BSF jawan and suspicious raises over possible reasons for the bullet shot.
Police sources said that they have initiated investigations, but questions remain unanswered regarding the reason for the firing.
