BSF’s inter-frontier handball tournament ends

The Border Security Force, Tripura organized Inter Frontier Handball Competition: 2022-23 at Salbagan, Agartala. Tournament from November 9 to 11 and altogether 176 players from 11 Frontier teams participated in the event.

The Border Security Force, Tripura organized Inter Frontier Handball Competition: 2022-23 at Salbagan, Agartala. Tournament from November 9 to 11 and altogether 176 players from 11 Frontier teams participated in the event.

Teams of BSF Frontiers both from Eastern and Western border, right from Kashmir to Tripura, actively participated in the tournament and showed true sportsmanship during the competition.

Final match was played between Kashmir Frontier and Jammu Frontier in which Kashmir Frontier defeated Jammu Frontier by 30-29. Chief Guest of the event Sumit Sharan, IG of Tripura Frontier felicitated the winner and runners up team and handed over the winner trophy to Kashmir Frontier team. Officials from state handball association of Tripura along with the referee were also felicitated by the chief guest. On the basis of the tournament, a central team of BSF will be selected which will further represent BSF at national level.

A grand closing ceremony was organized at the Tripura frontier headquarters of the BSF in Salbagan area of Agartala. The Chief Guest IG, BSF, Tripura congratulated all players of different Frontiers who participated in the tournament, lauded their efforts and motivated them to improve. At the end of the closing ceremony, IG formally declared the Inter Frontier Handball Competition: 2022-23 closed.

BSF said that organizing such types of events will certainly create the atmosphere for sportsmanship and competitiveness among Seema Praharis.
