Cabinet approves creation and filling up of 498 Posts in H&FW and I&C Departments
Tripura cabinet has decided for creation and filling up of 498 new posts in the Health and Family Welfare department and in the Industries and Commerce department.
Addressing a press conference at Civil Secretariat on Tuesday afternoon, Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury highlighting the cabinet decisions said that the cabinet meeting approved the creation and filling of 161 technical posts under the Health and Family Welfare Department to enhance emergency services across the state. These positions will be distributed among CHCs, PHCs, and District Hospitals to ensure seamless health services for the people of the state.
The newly sanctioned posts include 8 Physiotherapists, 31 Radiotherapy Technicians, 4 Dental Technicians, 14 ECG Technicians, 4 Computer Technicians, 29 Radiographers, and several others. “This comprehensive approach eliminates the need to separately seek Finance Department approvals, expediting recruitment,” he added.
In another major decision, the cabinet approved 96 Group C positions in the Industry and Commerce Department. These include as 6 Extension Officer, 38 Field Assistant, Senior Instructor (Engineering) 25 and Non-Engineering 17 post , 17 Store Keeper, and six pots for Driver. The details of recruitment examinations for these posts are under consideration,” said Chowdhury.
Additionally, 241 Lower Division Clerk (Ministerial) posts have been sanctioned in the Health Department to streamline administrative functions in healthcare institutions. The JRBT or the department itself will conduct examinations for these posts, said Chowdhury.
In a related development, salaries for 6,067 Special Executive Posts have been increased from Rs 11,000 to Rs 13,000. Recruitment for these posts is nearing completion, said the Minister.
