Celebrate festival by maintain peace and harmony, Rajib Bhattacharjee
The ruling BJP on Friday has urged the people of the state to celebrate the biggest festival in a peaceful manner by maintaining peace and harmony.
Addressing a press conference at BJP’s state party office in Agartala on Friday afternoon state President of BJP Rajib Bhattacharjee urged that if anyone or whoever tries to create any sort of disruption then the police officials, Club, common people and Puja committees must take some strong steps against anti-socials and any sort of drug abuse or intoxication must not ruin the celebration of the festival and everyone must keep a watch on the same.
The state government has taken up a fight against drugs and the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha wants that serious steps must be taken against the drug smugglers and peddlers. He added that this time steps will be taken against the drug dealers not only by the administration but also from the party level as well. Durga Puja is not only famous in the country or the state but also in other countries as well.
Bhattacharjee said that the festival has started in the state and everyone must maintain peace and he also expressed his greetings and best wishes on behalf of the party to the common people and also to the police personnel to protect citizens of the state.
