City police arrested 11 drug peddlers, users, 3 stolen bikes recovered
Intensifying its anti-drug operations, the Capital City police on Sunday arrested 11 drug peddlers and drug users from different hotspots of the city with drugs.
Giving details of the special operations of the police personnel of New Capital City (NCC) police station, SP (West Tripura), Kiran Kumar said that in continuation of its anti-drug operations, the district police has intensified its anti-drug operations and on Sunday, NCC police has arrested 11 drug peddlers and users from different hotspots including adjoining areas of Heritage park and Goyala Basti.
During the operation, police also arrested a noted motorbike lifter, Suman Das and based on his interrogation statements, police recovered three stolen motorbikes.
He said that a fortnight ago, Suman Das, who was arrested in multiple cases of bike lifting, got bail from his jail custody and again he along with his associates has lifted three more new motorbikes.
The SP added that soon other associates of noted bike lifter, Suman Das will be arrested.
While sharing details of 11 arrested peddlers and drug users, Kiran Kumar said that the health conditions of some drug users are very critical and police have shifted them to hospital for their primary treatment and soon they will be shifted to drug-rehabilitation centers.
