Class-nine girl died at IGM Hospital due to allege medical negligence

In another case of gross-medical negligence, a class-Nine standard girl died at IGM Hospital due to alleged medical negligence, which created massive resentment among patient relatives and a large number of security forces were deployed at the hospital complex to defuse tension.
Sources said that the deceased girl, Papiya Sarkar, daughter of Kisan Sarkar of Dashamighat area under West Agartala police station on Wednesday as usual joined her school, Ramkrishna Ashram Vidyamandir at Gandhighat area. After praying at the school, she felt uneasy and fainted at the school.
Immediately, teachers of the school shifted her to IGM Hospital and informed her parents , said a school teacher Apanshu Das.
Sources said that soon after her admission in the hospital, doctors injected her with two injections including one for vomiting and one digestion and started saline.
The doctor also prescribed immediate CT-Scan and some blood tests as the girl has head injuries.
During two hours of treatment, the girl died at the bed of the hospital before a prescribed test and referral to GB Hospital for better treatment.
Soon after her death, the parents and other relatives staged a massive protest in the hospital ward and claimed that their daughter died of only wrong injections as he did not have any diseases or any complication.
The relatives of the deceased girl started shouting against on-duty doctors and nurses and arguments with security staff. Amidst escalating tension, a large number of security forces rushed to the hospital and tried to defuse the tension.
While, amid chaotic situation, the body of the deceased girl shifted to GB Hospital for autopsy as the parents alleged medical negligence and they have also lodged a complaint.
