CM Dr Saha kin to maintain good relationship with media
The first meeting of the Media Advisory Committee (MAC) of Tripura government was held at the State Guest House in Agartala on Thursday.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha chaired the long meeting attended by all the members of the Advisory committee including senior editors, journalists, Secretary Dr P K Chakraborty, and Director (ICA) Bimbisar Bhattacherjee amid a cordial atmosphere on Thursday evening.
In the meeting, all the members took part in the interactive deliberation highlighting various issues about the interests of the media and journalists, and many professional and welfare issues were discussed in length to mitigate the problems of the press.
The Chief Minister in his deliberation said that his government is keen to build a friendly relationship with the press and resolve the problems of the press and journalist fraternities and always maintain a friendly relationship with media . He said that various issues and proposals were openly discussed in the first meeting which would help to prepare future planning and to prepare a programme for overall welfare of the media in Tripura.
Dr also emphasized the importance of adding new and young generation people to the media sector for its sustainable growth and embellishment and also wished for prosperity of the industry for democracy. The meeting ended on a positive note.
Earlier, veteran media persons and members of the advisory committee like, veteran editors Sanit Deb Roy, Subal Dey, Srota Ranjan Kisha, senior journalists like Biswendhu Bhattacharjee, Sujit Dey, Pranab Sarkar, Nabendhu Bhattacharjee, senior photo-journalsit Bapi Roy Chowdhruy, Jayanta Bhattarachree, Ramakanta Dey, young journalists like Prasanjit Bhattacharjee, Manish Acharjee also spoke in the meeting and delivered their suggestions overall welfare of media establishments and its fraternity.
