CM ensures immediate assistance to citizens in 33rd episode of ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’
In the 33rd episode of the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu program, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha personally addressed the grievances of citizens from various parts of Tripura. Held at his official residence on Thursday in Agartala, the initiative allowed residents to voice concerns ranging from medical emergencies to social welfare issues.
The Chief Minister provided immediate directives to relevant officials to ensure timely assistance for medical treatment, education, and employment, among other concerns.
One notable case was that of Bhaskarjyoti Bhowmik, a resident of Joynagar, Agartala, who is suffering from a rare genetic disease. Upon hearing of Bhowmik's expensive treatment in Kolkata, the Chief Minister assured full support by providing free medicines and coverage through the Ayushman card under the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana. Other citizens who sought assistance included Karuna Debnath from Bagma battling cancer, Babli Sinha from Kunjaban seeking help for her mother's knee replacement, and Geeta Bhowmik from North Jogendranagar, who needed support for her husband’s treatment.
Everyone spoke directly to the Chief Minister and expressed their problems. The Chief Minister directed the Medical Superintendents of GBP Hospital and Cancer Hospital present in Samipeshu program to provide necessary assistance for treatment. As there are various treatment options available in government hospitals the CM advised the beneficiaries to take advantage of that. Addressing social concerns, the Chief Minister directed the acting Secretary of Social Welfare and Social Education Department, LT Darlong, to act immediately on Shila Rani Chakraborty’s request for social allowance.
Additionally, financial aid was provided to some individuals on the spot, while others received directives for swift resolution of issues such as pond filling and access to justice.
Key officials attending the program included Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. PK Chakraborty, acting Secretary of Social Welfare and Social Education Department LT Darlong, Director of Social Welfare and Social Education Department Tapan Kumar Das, Medical Superintendent of GBP Hospital Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, Medical Superintendent of Atal Bihari Regional Cancer Center Dr. S. Debbarma, Managing Director of State Branch of National Health Mission, Dr. Samit Roy Chowdhury and others.
