CM expresses deep condolence over death Dr Manmohan Singh
Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha expressed his deep condolence over the death of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on Friday.
Dr Saha in his message said that “Deeply saddened by the passing of former PM of India and veteran Congress leader Manmohan Singh Ji. His contributions in nation building and shaping the economic landscape of the country will always be remembered. May the departed soul find eternal peace! Om Shanti.”
It may be recalled here that former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh passed away at 92 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday night. Singh, who was India’s 13th Prime Minister and the first Sikh to hold the coveted post, headed the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre from May 2004 to May 2014.
He was being treated for age-related medical conditions and had sudden loss of consciousness at home on 26th December 2024. His final journey will commence from the All India Congress Committee headquarters at 9:30 am on Saturday.
Leaders cutting across party lines also expressed their deep condolences over his death and sympathy with the bereaved family.
