Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday performed surgery on the mouth of a MBBS doctor, studied at Tripura Medical College (TMC) at Agartala, who has suffered critical injuries in a road accident and has a complaint of broken right jaw bone.
Chief Minister Prof. Dr Saha, who is renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeon of Agartala city has very efficiently performed the surgery at his old working place amidst very hectic schedules.
On Tuesday, he took time from his busy schedule to perform a successful operation on one of his former students, an MBBS doctor, who had suffered a Right Sub-Condylar fracture in a recent two-wheeler accident.
With precision and skill, Dr Saha performed the surgery, ensuring a smooth and successful procedure.
Haradhan Choudhury, an engineer by profession and the father of Dr. Sayantan Choudhury, approached the Chief Minister seeking advice regarding Sayantan's treatment. Initially, they had planned to seek treatment outside the state. However, as the Chief Minister was ready to personally oversee the operation, they decided to cancel their plan to go outside of the state.
Chief Minister Dr Saha in a ‘X’ (twitter) message said that “As an Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgeon, I have managed the time to return to my old working place at Tripura Medical College & Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital, Hapania to treat a patient with Rt. Sub-Condylar fracture(#). The patient is an MBBS doctor and was my student and he met with an accident (RTA) while driving a two-wheeler. The procedure has been successful & smooth and will be followed up.”
His surgical expertise, combined with his compassionate approach to patient care, ensured that the procedure went smoothly and successfully.
